Maricopa County Jail is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate and treat patients with physical impairments, disabilities, and health-related conditions. The PT will assess, diagnose, and create personalized treatment plans to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent dysfunction. This role involves monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatments for optimal recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Evaluation & Diagnosis: Assess strength, motor function, and sensory perception to determine diagnoses.
• Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized physical therapy programs.
• Documentation: Accurately record patient evaluations, progress, and treatment adjustments.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Provide exercises, manual therapy, and education to promote recovery.
• Patient Education: Guide patients and families on self-care strategies and home exercises.
• Collaboration: Work with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• Valid, unrestricted Arizona Physical Therapy license.
• Completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the Arizona State PT Board.
• Completed N95 respirator fit testing.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Knowledge of musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular rehabilitation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to assist patients with mobility and exercises.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time with flexible scheduling, occasional evenings or weekends.
