Forklift Operator

                                                                                                                                                                                                  Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)

Location: Dallas, TX 75236 

Purpose

Operate industrial forklifts to move materials within the warehouse and load/unload truck trailers or shipping containers. Maintain equipment, machines, and electrical components to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate forklift controls, devices, and levers to move materials between unloading, processing, loading, and storage areas.
• Organize and secure stored materials such as boxes, pallets, and containers.
• Load/unload materials manually or with equipment onto pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devices.
• Perform routine post- and pre-inspections to ensure equipment safety.
• Report equipment damage, safety hazards, or concerns to the Supervisor.
• Weigh products or materials and record information on labels and tags.
• Complete forklift operator training 
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and other physical activities.
• Work environment may vary in temperature from 30°F to 110°F.
• Exposure to potentially dangerous machinery and equipment.
• Floors may be damp and slick; noise levels are high.
• Must be able to work in a high-speed, fast-paced environment.

Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Ability to read labels and numbers accurately.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply).
• Ability to follow instructions and stand for long periods.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
