We are seeking an experienced Senior Cook to join our cafeteria team. The ideal candidate will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure high-quality food preparation, and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for providing excellent meals and service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of hot and cold menu items according to established recipes and standards.

• Lead and train kitchen staff, ensuring food safety and sanitation procedures are followed.

• Plan and coordinate meal production to meet service times and minimize waste.

• Monitor food inventory, order supplies, and assist with menu planning.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

• Collaborate with management to improve food quality and service efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a cafeteria or institutional setting.

• Knowledge of food safety, handling, and sanitation standards.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

• Comfortable working in a hot or busy kitchen environment.
