Position overview

• The plant supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the production floor, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met. This hands-one leadership role requires strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage teams in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and lead production employees to achieve performance standards and production goals.
• Monitor daily operations to ensure product quality, safety compliance, and workflow efficiency. 
• Coordinate production schedules with Plant Manager and ensure timely execution.
• Troubleshoot issues with machinery, materials, or personnel to prevent downtime.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct shift meetings, performance evaluations, and corrective action as necessary
• Maintain accurate production records, inventory counts, and reporting logs
• Partner with maintenance and quality control teams to support plant operations

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or technical degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing or packaging
• Strong understanding of flexographic, offset printing, or converting processes a plus
• Proficient in reading work orders, production schedules, and operating procedures
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and lean manufacturing principles

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and work on concrete floors for extended periods
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
• Must be available to work overtime and weekends, as necessary
