We are looking for sanders/finishers/assemblers to join the cabinet department. This is an entry-level position located in North West Phoenix, AZ. 

Smooths surface of wooden articles, such as furniture parts, mirror frames, caskets, and cabinet panels preparatory to finishing, or between finish coats, using power hand sanders and steel wool.

Position Type: Temp $12.00/HR. Full work schedule (40 hrs/wk).
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Apply filler compound and coats of finish to seal the wood
• Attach sandpaper to rollers of sanding equipment
• Guide sanding machines over surfaces until they are smooth
• Final product inspection for smoothness and defects
• Remove excess glue from joints, using knives, scrapers, or wood chisels
• Other duties as related to the position

• Must be able to stand for the duration of shift
• Position requires physical activity such as pushing, pulling, bending, lifting and stooping
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Ability to work in a team environment
