Title:Special Education Teacher - K-8

Hiring Special Education Teachers (K-8) to join an amazing academic team for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year.  As a Special Education Teacher, you will work with students K-8 to provide instruction and support which facilitates the participation of students with disabilities in the regular classroom.  This role is vital to helping these students grow and develop as we focus to educate the whole child.  Our Special Education Teachers work with students who have learning, mental, emotional, or physical disabilities. They adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects to students with mild to moderate disabilities. 

Confidentiality is a vital part of this role as we work to protect the privacy of the student and their families.  You will serve as a mentor for other educators not specialized in this student demographic to help implement and execute behavioral management plans and create a safe learning environment.  Providing case management oversight to ensure the student IEP's are reviewed and delivered to remain in compliance with the federal, state, and district requirements is a key to success in this role.  Our Special Education Teachers will actively participate in staff meetings and professional development as required while maintaining a high level of ethics and professionalism as a school district representative.

  • Bachelors/ Master’s degree in Special Education or equivalent
  • Active Arizona Early Childhood Special Education Certificate
  • The ability to obtain an AZ IVP Fingerprint clearance card
