Position: Mental Health Professional (MHP)

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in behavioral health, social services, or a related field (Copy of diploma/transcripts required)
• Current, valid, unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) -OR- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) issued by the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (Copy required)
• Current, completed PSV from the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (Copy required, obtainable via this link)
• Minimum two years of past work experience in a similar position

Service Description:

• Coordinate psychosocial treatment issues related to patient care
• Present relevant findings that pertain to mental status and patient risk in an acute environment
• Prepare comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments, mental status exams, treatment plans, and other clinical reports
• Provide individual treatment and crisis intervention services
• Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational group treatment
• Conduct short-term, solution-focused therapy using treatment plans, goals, and objectives
• Develop treatment plans for patients with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders
• Maintain familiarity with mental health diagnoses corresponding to the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM)
• Coordinate treatment with Maricopa County Sherriff’s Office (MCSO), courts, and community providers for continuity of care
