Hiring CNA's Day and Night Shifts
Schedule & Hours:

• 12-Hour Day Shifts: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM / 6PM-630AM

• 40 hours/week

• Every other weekend is required 

Compliance Items (Required Before Start):

1. Resume

2. Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

3. Current CPR/BLS Card

4. TB Skin Test (2-Step TB Test)

5. CNA License/Certification (Active in Arizona)

6. Hepatitis B vaccination or declination form

7. COVID-19 vaccination or declination form

As a CNA at ASVH-Flagstaff, you will:

•  

• Assist veterans with ADLs (activities of daily living): transfers, bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene.

• Support mobility and flexibility using assistive procedures/devices.

• Aid in medical procedures: enemas, treatments, post-surgical/post-mortem care.

• Monitor health: vitals, input/output, and collecting samples (urine, sputum, stool).

• Maintain accurate documentation in medical records.

• Help with meals: transportation to dining, food choices, serving meals.

• Ensure timely response to call lights or verbal requests.

• Maintain clean and sanitary resident areas.

• Assist in emergencies, transporting to appointments, and perform clerical tasks.

• Participate in AMS processes (Huddle Boards, Standardized Work, etc.).

• Actively support QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:

• Para-professional nursing care and services

• AZ laws and regulations for CNA roles

• Use and maintenance of medical equipment

• Safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols

Skills in:

• Delivering effective nursing care

• Following state and agency regulations

• Documenting medical records and reports

• Verbal and written communication

Licensure & Education:

• Required: Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Arizona
