Intervenor Specialist – Phoenix, AZ

We are seeking a compassionate Intervenor Specialist to support students with deaf-blindness in a classroom setting. The role involves following the student’s IEP, implementing recommended modifications, and becoming proficient in the student’s communication methods. Ideal candidates are willing to learn basic sign language and enjoy working with young children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide access to instruction using the student’s communication mode (auditory, visual, or tactual)

• Support communication, concept development, and social-emotional growth

• Assist with daily care as needed (toileting, feeding, hygiene)

• Collaborate with teachers and IEP team members

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours, or passing para-educator exam

• CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Intervention (or ability to obtain)

• Preferred: ASL and/or Braille skills

• Must pass background check/Fingerprint Clearance
