Schedule: Night shift | 12-hour shifts | PRN – As Needed
Position Overview
We’re seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Supervisor to join our team on the night shift. In this role, you’ll oversee nursing staff, ensure quality care delivery, and maintain a safe, supportive environment for residents and team members alike.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure CNA staff and cart nurses are present and assigned to units.

Complete day shift assignments for the incoming shift.

Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders, within scope of license.

Receive and deliver essential information about residents’ medical, social, and functional needs.

Participate in shift reports and ensure smooth communication across teams.

Perform admission assessments and assist with MDS assessments, quarterly reviews, and care plans.

Direct and guide staff during emergencies.

Maintain accurate and complete clinical and administrative documentation.

Supervise and support nursing staff, assisting as needed with ADLs (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene, mobility).

Participate in staff training, in-service programs, and performance improvement activities.

Apply AMS (Advanced Management System) methods and tools for continuous process improvement.
Knowledge & Skills
-
Gerontological and geriatric nursing theory and practice.
-
Understanding of residents’ changing physical, medical, and psychological care needs.
-
Principles of team nursing and development of care plans.
-
Pharmacology and medication administration practices.
-
Federal, state, and agency regulations governing professional nursing and medication control.
-
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to observe, assess, and respond effectively to patient needs.
Requirements
-
Active RN license in the State of Arizona.
-
1–2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
