Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated and flexible PRN Medical Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential medical and administrative support to our residents in behavioral group homes. You will work on an as-needed basis, covering shifts to ensure continuous, high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Support:
- Assist with routine medical assessments and monitor residents' health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, and preparing lab specimens.
- Assist in the management of chronic diseases and conditions, ensuring compliance with care plans.

Resident Care:
- Support residents with daily activities and personal care needs.
- Provide emotional support and crisis intervention as needed.
- Document and report any changes in residents' health or behavior to the clinical supervisor.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents.

Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all residents.
- Schedule and coordinate medical appointments and follow-ups.
- Assist with inventory management, ensuring medical supplies are stocked and organized.
- Support the implementation of health and wellness programs within the group homes.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in behavioral health is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in behavioral health or group homes.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work PRN shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to resident care.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies.
