Structural & Pipe Welders – Irving, TX

AtWork Personnel is hiring experienced Structural and Pipe Welders for a growing steel manufacturing facility in Irving, TX 75062.

Pay:

• Structural Welders: $21–$22/hr

• Pipe Welders: $24–$25/hr

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 50–60 hrs/week (OT required)

• Occasional Saturdays (3–4 times/year)

Job Description

We are looking for skilled welders proficient in MIG, TIG, Fluxcore, or Stick welding. Candidates must be able to pass a 6G pipe test and perform Destructive/Non-Destructive testing.

Responsibilities:

• Weld pipe and structural steel (1" to 48") to ASME, API, and 100% X-Ray code standards

• Work in various positions on code materials

• Read and interpret blueprints, including layout and fit-up

• Cut and prep materials using torches, saws, grinders, and measuring tools

• Operate shop equipment such as iron workers, overhead cranes, rigging gear, pipe threading machines, tube bending machines, and pneumatic tools

• Assemble and fabricate components with minimal supervision

• Maintain a safe and productive work environment

• Collaborate with team members and assist in improving processes

Requirements:

• Must pass 6G Pipe Welding Test

• 2–3 years welding experience or completion of welding school

• High school diploma or GED

• Certified to weld on pipe or plate

• Own welding hood and steel-toe boots (not provided)

• Comfortable working in hot environments (fans only – no A/C)

• Willing to work mandatory overtime (50–60 hrs/week)

Physical Demands:

• Frequently bend, squat, climb, stoop, twist, and reach

• Lift up to 25 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally
