Medical Assistant- MA

Location: Phoenix, AZ and surrounding areas.

Job Summary:

• Performs duties within the Medical Assistant (MA) scope of practice to ensure quality patient care, under the direct supervision of medical or nursing personnel.
• Completes required documentation in the electronic health record or other systems.
• Prepares patients for examinations and treatments, taking patient histories, vital signs, and recording chief complaints.
• Performs office procedures, tests, and examinations.
• Maintains supplies for exam and procedure rooms and transcribes provider orders.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and administers injections, immunizations, and skin TB tests per protocol.
• Conducts venipunctures and lab tests. Handles office duties such as copying, filing, scanning, scheduling, and document preparation.
• Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills, including document creation, spreadsheets, emails, and calendar tasks using Microsoft Office software.

Qualifications:

• You must commit 36 hours per week.

Supporting Documentation/Additional Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Copy of certificate of completion from an MA accredited Health Care Training Program.
• Completed fit testing for N95 particulate respirators.
• Current First Aid Certification.
• Minimum one year working experience.
