Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts | 40 hours per week | Following the DVS Block Schedule


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated RN Supervisor to join our team on the night shift. This position plays a vital leadership role in ensuring high-quality care, efficient operations, and strong team collaboration within our facility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure CNA staff and cart nurses are assigned and present on units.

  • Prepare and complete day shift assignments for the incoming team.

  • Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders within scope of license.

  • Communicate and document residents’ medical, social, and functional needs.

  • Participate in and lead shift reports to ensure continuity of care.

  • Conduct initial admission nursing assessments and assist with MDS assessments, quarterly reviews, and care plans.

  • Direct and guide staff during emergencies.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical and administrative records.

  • Supervise and support nursing staff; assist as needed with ADLs (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene, mobility).

  • Conduct and participate in staff training and professional development activities.

  • Utilize AMS concepts and tools to improve workflows and promote continuous process improvement.


Knowledge & Skills

  • Geriatric nursing theory and best practices.

  • Understanding of residents’ changing physical, medical, and psychological care needs.

  • Strong leadership and team nursing principles.

  • Knowledge of pharmacology, medication administration, and relevant regulations.

  • Ability to observe, assess, and respond appropriately to residents’ needs.

  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Proficiency in documentation, problem-solving, and process improvement methods (AMS).


Requirements

  • Active RN License in the State of Arizona.

  • 1–2 years of supervisory experience in healthcare or long-term care.
