We are seeking an experienced Lathe/Mill Machinist to join a growing manufacturing facility in the Saginaw, TX area.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background operating and setting up manual and/or CNC lathes and milling machines, with a strong understanding of machining processes, tolerances, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC lathes or milling machines to produce precision metal parts.

• Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specifications.

• Select appropriate tooling, materials, and machine settings for each job.

• Measure, inspect, and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments to ensure accuracy.

• Perform routine maintenance on machines and keep work areas clean and organized.

• Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.

• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize processes and minimize downtime.

• Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience operating lathes and/or milling machines (manual CNC).

• Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, and tooling.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Proficient with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection tools.

• Basic understanding of G-code and CNC programming preferred.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
