Spare Parts Assistant – Job Summary

The Spare Parts Assistant is responsible for managing and maintaining an accurate inventory of equipment parts to support plant operations and maintenance. This role involves assisting with parts identification, purchasing, supplier coordination, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and track spare parts inventory using SAP or other ERP systems.
• Support purchasing activities, including sourcing parts and negotiating with suppliers.
• Assist production and maintenance teams in identifying necessary parts.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with accounting on billing-related issues.
• Prepare and ship parts as needed to other locations or vendors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory tracking.
• Ability to read technical documents and perform basic math calculations.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
