Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Screen Maker (Silk Screen) to support production by preparing, coating, exposing, and maintaining silk screens used in the printing process. The Screen Maker will ensure all screens meet quality standards and are ready for production to maintain efficiency and print accuracy. The ideal candidate will have experience in screen printing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or printing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and build silk screens for screen printing production
• Coat, expose, wash out, and reclaim screens
• Inspect screens for defects, damage, or quality issues
• Ensure proper mesh, emulsion, and exposure settings
• Maintain and clean screen making equipment and work area
• Follow work orders and production schedules
• Work closely with press operators and production team
• Store and organize screens properly for reuse
• Mix and handle chemicals and cleaning solutions safely
• Follow all safety and quality procedures

Qualifications

• Previous screen maker or silk screen experience preferred
• Printing or manufacturing experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to follow technical instructions and job orders
• Basic mechanical and production knowledge
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs
• Reliable and dependable

Preferred Experience

• Screen printing or silk screen production environment
• Experience with emulsion coating and exposure units
• Chemical handling and screen reclaiming process
• Production or printing facility experience
