Job Description
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a correctional facility provides essential healthcare support to incarcerated individuals under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. The CNA assists with routine medical care, monitors patient conditions, and ensures a safe, sanitary, and respectful environment that supports the physical and mental well-being of inmates.
Copy of current, valid, unrestricted license as a CNA issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing -OR- issued by a participating Compact State.
Copy of current, completed PSV from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing obtained via the following link: https://azbn.boardsofnursing.org/licenselookup
Copy of current, completed fit testing for N95 particulate respirators.
Copy of current, completed First Aid Certification.
Minimum one year of past work experience in this position.

Job Description
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a correctional facility provides essential healthcare support to incarcerated individuals under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. The CNA assists with routine medical care, monitors patient conditions, and ensures a safe, sanitary, and respectful environment that supports the physical and mental well-being of inmates.
Job Responsibilities
Assist nursing staff with daily medical care and treatments within the scope of CNA practice.
Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
Transport or escort inmates to and from medical appointments or infirmary care within the facility.
Observe and report changes in inmates’ physical or emotional conditions to licensed nursing staff.
Support emergency medical response procedures under the direction of medical staff.
Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols while maintaining professional boundaries.
